I’ve been struggling to decide whether to make a post or not. There were multiple problems that blocked me to write a post for Instagram (Medium). All of these problems are pretty common to English learners: messing up with vocabulary, grammar or even not being able to create an interesting topic where people would feel like interacting with. Who the heck wants to flop, am I right? I guess no one does. Not only that, but haven’t you ever felt overwhelmed by someone who has better grammar skills than you?
But the truth is: this should NOT be our mentality. I cannot imagine how many of us who are part of the English learning community are hiding themselves fearing not being successful in the content-creating process. I used to feel like this, but I realized I won’t achieve a higher level of understanding the language unless I practice it and solve the problems that are holding me back.
I don’t know what succeeding in social media is. Though, the fact is, I don’t want to hide myself from failure and from taking risks any longer. I’ve had enough. Repeat. I’ve had enough. Repeat. I’ve had enough.
That’s why I invite all of you who are frightened to share your thoughts to make an effort, face the fear, push yourself to it and bring to this community all you’ve got! Feel free to bring your thoughts, to write (or to talk) about the subjects you’re more related to and the things you struggle with. At the end of the day, we’ll be more impressed by the things we can learn from one another than by your amazing grammar level.
